The things I love about my town are the schools, the downtown shopping and the small town feel. Our neighborhood is great because it’s proximity to everything. We can be downtown in 3 minutes and to the interstate in 3 minutes or less. Our neighbors take pride in their property and always keep it clean and picked up. All three of the schools are also close which is very convenient for our children. We love to eat at Vinegar Jim’s, El Mezcal, Sonic, Mcdonalds, Panda China, Rizzi’s, Taco Bell, Off the Hoof, Subway, Pizza Hut and at Yogurt Mountain that are all within 5 minutes from our house.
The Grocery store that we use is Kroger. We also have a Fred’s and a Dollar store just 5 minutes away and the nearest Walmart is only 10 minutes away. We have several gas stations in town, a library and antique store. The mall is only about 10 minutes away. When we bought the property we were drawn to the French Country look of the house’s exterior. We also like the open floor plan. We love the Arlington area in general.
Our area is wonderful for several reasons. The public schools are some of the best. It has all the conveniences of a larger area but has that small hometown feel. Everyone is friendly when you see them while you are out. A few other things I can mention are the daycares that are available. We have used the Learning Tree daycare ever since we have lived here and have always received the best care for our children. There are also other good daycares around. We have several excellent veterinarian clinics, dance studios, karate, medical, and dental offices, fitness clubs, churches, hair salons, and Banks.
We love to go to the Christmas parade downtown, the fireworks in July, the Halloween hayride and festival. The many music festivals in the Summertime. The playground and park. We enjoy soccer, baseball, softball and volleyball. We have an excellent sports complex facility where we have met several other parents. There is also football for many different ages available. Our utility costs are very affordable even with the in ground pool. We currently are with MLGW and we have never had any problems with them.
